Project characteristics
Mellat Cinema Complex is located in south part of Mellat Park in Tehran and along Niyayesh Highway. Many people visit this complex daily. There are eight cinema halls, three galleries and two restaurants in this complex. This project has a unique architecture. Hundreds of people go to these premises to watch movies, eating out, visiting galleries and attending training courses.
Objectives
Such a complexes is usually very busy. Increasing number of visitors in evening, weekend and holidays can increase consumption of energy significantly. Relevant use of heating & cooling system also lighting is different in peak and off peak time obviously. Different departments need different security policies. Increasing level of satisfaction depends on increasing level of comfort during usage of the center.
Solutions
For designing BMS system in this project, five points had to be considered:
- Maintaining comfort level
- Energy saving
- Maintaining security
- Monitoring access areas
- Controlling mechanical and electrical equipments based on peak & off peak times.
Concerning above points, TACWIN offered following solutions:
- Controlling heating and cooling systems to increase comfort level in different areas.
- CCTV system in integrated way for maintaining security of the building.
- Access control and intrusion detection system for maintaining security of the building.
- IT network system
Pardis Mellat Cinema Halls at present is using TACWIN engineering services and Schneider Electric products. Implementing BMS system in that building increased efficiency of the building in case of energy consumption and decrease operational and maintenance costs significantly.
