  • Project characteristics

Institute of petroleum research is one of biggest research institutes in field of oil, gas and petrochemical industry in Iran. All research institutes gathered in this center. The total area of this project is 130,000 meter square in 15 blocks, including office buildings, management building, laboratories, warehouse, restaurant, electrical and mechanical plants. this institute employees numerous employers and it is crucial in petroleum industry  in national level which makes this project very important. Because of importance of this project a minor mistake can be disastrous.

  • challenges

RIPI is a huge project with many buildings. Demand of energy in such buildings is extremely high. Various types of applications in these buildings need standard systems to maintain comfort level. Security is another key issue in this institute.

  • Solutions

For maintaining comfort level, HVAC systems are recommended in that building. In HVAC control system controlling boiler house, air handling units, and all other mechanical devices considered. Laboratories in this building needed special control system. In order to control a lab not only it is important to maintain special temperature but also we need different pressure in different labs.

For HVAC and lighting control system we used Schneider Electric valves, sensors, and controllers. For security we could be able to use Pelco systems in this project which is one of Schneider Electric companies.
